Junior Fiddle Scouts (ages 5-7)

Service Description
Adventure, music, and fun await with the Junior Fiddle Scouts! Embark on a musical journey with the Jr. Fiddle Scouts, a fun and engaging six-week class designed for little ones ages 5-7! In this exciting class, young musicians will start their adventure with the violin (or fiddle) in a playful, nature-inspired environment. Just like true scouts, they’ll learn the essential skills of playing, from holding the bow to making their first sounds on the strings. As Jr. Fiddle Scouts, students will explore the basics of fiddle playing while discovering rhythm, melody, and music notation. They’ll practice simple songs, learn fun games to improve their bowing and finger placement, and develop coordination as they play together. Each week, our scouts will take on new musical challenges, much like an adventure through the wild, with plenty of teamwork and exploration. Inspired by the great outdoors, this class fosters curiosity, creativity, and a love for music. Through hands-on activities, lively tunes, and interactive learning, the Jr. Fiddle Scouts will grow as musicians while developing social skills and confidence. Whether they’re playing a song under the stars or learning new ways to make music, every little fiddler will feel like they're part of something special. The Jr. Fiddle Scouts is the perfect starting point for your child’s musical journey and a great introduction to the violin, all while having fun and making new friends in the process! Violin "fiddle" is required for class, we can recommend a rental location if needed. No prior experience is required. Each small group class has a max of 4 participants! Price does not include lesson book.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation policy for group classes (this does not apply to Camps, Indie Band Program, Kid's Choir, or Special Events , which each have their own policies listed on their respective booking pages). For most group classes: (ie, Little Coyotes, Coyote Pups, Kids Group Keyboard, Kids/Adult Group Guitar, Kids/Adult Group Ukulele, Cals Music/Instrument Explorers, etc) If you need to cancel, refunds in the form of original payment will only be given up to 10 days before the start of the class. After that time, all cancellations will be in the form of a credit that can be used towards future Cal Heights Music class tuition or for private lessons. Please note that group lessons may be converted to 15min private lessons in the event only 1 student is booked or shows up for a class. Group classes with less than 3 students may also be cancelled. We will notify you should CHM need to cancel a class due to enrollment, and a full refund to your original payment method will be given. Cal Heights Music must be notified of a planned absence 24 hours before the class to receive a makeup credit, there will be no make ups for no shows. Only one excused absence with a makeup credit is offered per session. Missed classes/makeup credits cannot be used as credit/payment towards future or other classes. Make up classes expire 1 month from the date of the missed class. Classes for babies, toddlers and preschools that require adult participation are for one caregiver + one child only. Due to space limitations we can not accomodate more than one caregiver with a child without advance notification and CHM approval. Thank you for understanding.
